Posting like monthly is probably a good idea, right? It’s been more like a month and a half, but, whatever, at least I got some updates.
(side note, I have NOT taken the time to get into the mechanics of working the site here on the Bluehost/Wordpress machine. Eventually I really should do that. ANYHOO).
Exactly one month from today, on Sunday June 30, will HOPEFULLY be the first meeting of the folks that have expressed interest in the big Buddha Squid collective. My first name idea was “The Nine Tentacles of the Buddha Squid,” or maybe just “Nine Tentacles.” (initial idea was for a nine-piece group). But call it whatever, really. The main thing is we need to figure out where the fuck we’re going to meet, as my garage won’t be available. Ah, we’ll figure something out. Two of the four peeps that should be there besides myself I have not actually met IRL yet, so it will be nice for them to find out firsthand how ugly I really am.
Also, the third of those three short stories is done and I went back and re-edited the other two. Some of y’all probably know the challenge of getting to right spot mentally and emotionally for something to come out right..well, it took a couple months, but I finally got there and I think it came out right. Now it’s on to learning what exactly is the state of pursuing publishing nowadays. Maybe it’s still just keep submitting submitting submitting and stack that paper (not money, but rejection letters, yuck yuck), maybe things have changed. Bout to find out.
